Pangolin - The Longest Tongue Of Any Mammal

The amazing Pangolin is a creature that walks more like T-Rex then a mammal. It's front claws are not used for walking, the weigh of this creature balances it out so it walk on its back feet alone. It does use it claws though to dig through mammoth ant mounds in search of food. Once it reaches the main passages of the colony it uses its unbelievably long sticky tongue to devour hundreds of ants. To see this creature and its tongue in action check out the video below...

Underwater Camouflage Saves Lives!

First up is a clip from National Geographic that shows some of the unbelievable adaptations that underwater creatures have developed to survive in their surroundings. Crazy to even think that there are creatures on this planet that can shape shift and change colors so rapidly. You would think we could learn something from these underwater specimens of nature...



This next video is a bit more controversial, it starts out showing us more of the amazing camouflage from underwater. Then it takes us above the water and shows us more camouflage in insects and plants. After that it takes a weird turn and starts talking religion... I suggest you just turn down the volume or take it with a grain of salt. I thought the video was good, but sorry you are not going to convert me : )

Time will tell how many of these creatures will be able to survive the coming effects of climate change. It is sad that natural selection has taken a backseat to man-made ignorant destruction. We hear a lot about the effects that climate change will have on the people across the world, but let us not forget about all the other creatures that grace this planet. Let just hope it is not already too late for some of these amazing creatures...
