Please Help With The Experiment

I was just wondering?

What it is that makes people stop when they are hitting the next blog button? I mean, is it a picture, video, or perhaps just the headline that grips you. I personally like the images, but what makes you stop? Do you go for content or just images or perhaps how many comments are on the post? How long do you actually spend on a blog? Maybe you find blogs by user profile links? Thanks for your time your help are much appreciated! Come back and check to see how the experiments are progressing. Thanks for your participation!

I came here to thank
your visit.
What stops me in a blog... Well the images or some article that could have interest. Poetry or some another subject which I like.
I look for images that illustrate my subjects and stop to the blogs very often. If I like what I see I am going to explore a little more..
Forgive my English, I understand everithing when I read, to write it is not easy...

I happened upon one of your other blog posts titled "Amazon River Dries Up." It caught my attention enough to make me scroll down and read every post on the first page.
Generally, when I'm browsing for fun, I click right past anything not in english, and anything religious, and anything selling something. Unfortunately sometimes I don't find anything at all that makes me pause.

I seem to only stop on the images or video or even as simple as a cool background. I guess it is the American attention span at work there. If it doesn't grab me in the first millasecond, I simply change the channel.

Traquitanas - Yes that is how I get a lot of my traffic is simply by commenting on other people's blogs...

Momxfour - Yeah that amazon one is a pretty scary video, it caught my attention on google video right away. I am kind of an environmental freek!

Paul - That picture was taken on the way to Howell, Michigan on the I-96 expressway, turned out great considering it was taken in a moving car.

Traquitanas, Momxfour and Paul Thanks for the input I do appreciate it!

Nice reflection photo! What stops me - images and design initially. I'm a creative sort so very visual. What keeps me there - more nice images ;) and captivating, clever, funny writing, a good read - I'll say for hours for a good read!

I guess it all matters; page layout, content, graphics, GOOD ENGLISH-- call me a literary snob, but if someone can't write to save his/her life, then what is the point of posting a blog AKA online diary at the first place?!

Personally, I look out more for quirky content & a captivating writting style ova graphics. They are more of an accessory than a necessity, unless they are works or photographs of the blogger him/herself,which adds more sincerity & meaning to the article.

I like ur straight4ward, no B.S. style, & clever musings. Don't stop! Kudos! I also like to read comments, what other pp think of things. =D

It's like what makes you stop to buy a newspaper. The pictures, the headlines, the first few lines catching your interest.
